The SGS Swiss Switch

Everything that makes switching hard, handled.

For periodontists, oral surgeons and implant dentists from Boston to Florida who already place a premium system. You keep the Swiss standard your patients expect. We take away the kit cost, the leftover stock and the first-case risk.

01

A bundle sized to your cases

P5D and P7D fixtures with healing abutments, matched to the cases you have coming up, in one private quote.

02

Surgical kit on loan

Start placing without buying a new kit up front. Ask how the kit becomes yours.

03

Trade-in credit

Credit toward unopened fixtures from your current system, so old inventory doesn't hold you back.

04

Easy returns and size swaps

05

First-case support

A planning call on your first cases and a phone line on surgery day, answered by our New York team.

Our promise

No Dead Stock.

Switching systems shouldn't leave you with drawers of sizes you'll never place. So we keep it simple.

  • Easy returns on unopened fixturesChanged your mind about an unopened SGS fixture? Send it back.
  • Size swaps when the plan changesSwap unopened sizes instead of writing them off.
  • A real person on the phoneWe follow up within one business day, and on surgery day we pick up.

Applies to unopened, undamaged SGS Dental product. Exact return and swap terms are confirmed with your order. This promise covers product and service, not clinical outcomes.

The implants

One conical platform. Every case.

A P7D full arch, start to smile.

A New York SGS Dental surgeon restored a full arch on P7D implants with S17 multi-unit abutments and PIC photogrammetry. Real US cases like this are what we show at study clubs and case days.

SBTC® surface meeting blood, unedited
SBTC® surface science
0°water contact angle

SBTC® (Smart Bioactive Trabecular Coating) is a thin calcium-phosphate coating, mostly brushite with hydroxyapatite, deposited electrochemically. It is strongly hydrophilic: blood wicks into the surface on contact. It resorbs over 6–12 weeks and is replaced by new bone.

73.0% vs 49.8%

Direct bone contact at 6 weeks, SBTC-coated vs uncoated TPS

Animal model (domestic pig maxilla). Significant difference.

94.9%

of 156 SBTC-coated implants osseointegrated and functional after 6 months under immediate load

Multicenter study, 62 patients, 40 implants in fresh extraction sockets. These studies used SBTC-coated implants from another manufacturer (PITT-EASY, Oraltronics), not SGS-branded implants.

6–12 wk

Coating fully resorbs and is replaced by new bone

Per the SBTC® coating dossier. No particles or flaking, unlike plasma-sprayed HA.

Comparative study

The Grande study: five surfaces, side by side

Daniel A. Grande, PhD, compared implant surfaces from Straumann (sandblasted, acid-etched), Zimmer Biomet (sandblasted, microgrooved), Nobel Biocare (anodized), BioHorizons (microgrooved, resorbable blast) and SGS Dental (calcium-phosphate coated). The SGS surface significantly upregulated the bone markers ALPL and osteocalcin and directly drove stem-cell to osteoblast differentiation. The other surfaces mainly promoted angiogenesis.

Reported in an SGS Dental white paper (June 2024). The white paper does not give the study model, sample sizes or numeric results.

Randomized trial · P7D

Antal et al. 2024: 2 years on P7D

A split-mouth randomized trial in 20 edentulous mandibles, all on P7D implants, compared SBTC® with an established calcium-phosphate coating. SBTC matched it, with 100% osseointegration and no complications, and showed a trend toward higher stability gain and less bone loss at 2 years. The differences were not statistically significant.

Brightly Dental

Watch it placed, not just presented.

Dentistry is our family business. SGS implants are placed in our own operatories in Manhattan and Queens at Brightly Dental. That's where First 10 doctors and Switch accounts come to watch real cases, ask questions at the chair and handle the kit before their own first case.

Seats are limited by the case schedule. Tell us when you'd like to come.

Local support

A family in dentistry. A team in Midtown.

We grew up around a dental lab bench, and we took on East Coast distribution so other doctors get Swiss engineering with someone local behind it. Call and you reach our team, not a call center.
